Interview Dates for the General Surgery Residency Program

If you are invited to interview, please contact our residency coordinators to confirm your acceptance and schedule your interview.
We invite you to meet our current residents and enjoy some New Orleans hospitality at an informal reception from 5:30-7:00 pm on Tuesday evening prior to your interview.
Your interviews will be at 1430 Tulane Ave, the Tulane University School of Medicine. Our residency coordinators will greet you, when you report to the 6th floor, room 6001 at 6:45 a.m.
The day begins with our Patient Safety conference at 7:00 a.m., followed by a short orientation. Each candidate meets individually with the department chairman and also the residency program director. You will also have three, thirty minute interviews with a group of two or three faculty members. Our interview teams are from varying surgical specialities, so you can explore your particular surgical interests. An informal lunch with residents and a tour of our surgical simulation center complete your day at Tulane.
